The biomedical sciences are taught in an
integrated way. Clinical exposure begins in the first semester. The
third-year clerkships begin in early May featuring patient
problem-solving and an increasing level of responsibility. The
fourth year consists of six clerkships and four electives. Seniors
are required to evaluate health care delivery focusing on patient
safety and quality improvement. |

Vanderbilt's curriculum provides students with the
