Curriculum is student-centered; hands-on
experience, problem-based and small group learning. Training in all
areas of medicine, also osteopathic manipulation. First year:
biomedical sciences; second year: case-based learning and problem
solving as it relates to conditions seen in primary care; third and
fourth years: clinical rotations in hospitals in urban and rural
areas. |

| Four-year M.D. program curriculum
|
The curriculum consists of 2 years of basic
sciences and 2 in clinical sciences. The first 2 years are
complemented by a Web-based curriculum. First year courses provide a
strong basic science foundation, and second-year classes form a
bridge leading into the clinical portion of the curriculum. The
curriculum provides early exposure to patients. The clinical program
provides training at two sites. |
